Careers and Opportunities

Through interdisciplinary courses and research, the Environmental Studies program offers our students a path to many career options in fields such as environmental policy, environmental health, environmental communication, environmental education and environmental law. Our alumni can be found in federal, state and local government agencies; consulting companies; industries; nonprofit organizations; advocacy groups; online environmental communication sites, and elsewhere. The program also prepares students for law school and graduate studies in a number of environmental policy and social science fields. Many of our graduates have enrolled in Lehigh’s Environmental Policy MA program.

Internships and Fellowships

Summer Environmental Fellowship Symposium

The faculty and students of the Environmental Studies program celebrate the beginning of each fall semester honoring the recipients of the undergraduate Summer Environmental Fellowship Symposium. Students can apply for this funding on an annual basis. At the fall symposium, those who have been awarded funding for specialized summer research or internships present the results of their summer activities in a poster session.
