Pursue a New Passion

Students in the College of Arts and Sciences or in other colleges see the value in adding a GS minor, demonstrating to employers they value and understand global issues. 

Global Studies Minor

A minor in Global Studies requires a total of 15 to 16 credits.

Introductory Course (4 credits)

  • GS 001 Introduction to Global Studies

Core Course (4 credits)

  • Select one course from either the Arts & Humanities core, the Culture core, the History core, or the Politics core.

Elective Coursework (11-12 credits)

  • Select any two additional Global Studies courses. At least one elective must be 200-level or above. GCP 010 may be used as an elective for the GS minor.

To declare a Global Studies minor, students must fill out a minor declaration form and schedule an appointment with Professor Allison Mickel, Director of Global Studies.
